The Semperfli Oliver Edwards Rhyacophila Wool can be used with great success as perfect substitute of the original wool from Oliver Edwards. We do not believe you will get any closer match to the original Rhyacophila wool. The Oliver Edwards Rhyacophila Wool substitute is a four ply wool with a sparkle yarn, clear antron component. Colours are identical.
The Semperfli Oliver Edwards Rhyacophila Wool is a 3-strand wool ideal to make great Rhyacophila caddis pupa patterns. One two to three inch strands is all that's needed on each fly, so a card of this material goes a long way. It has been discontinued but we kept some by for that odd very special trip.
The Semperfli series of wool includes four shades as the Semperfli Perfect Shrimp Wool, the Semperfli Oliver Edwards Rhyacophila Wool Substitute, the Semperfli Caddis Wool, and the Semperfli Chadwicks 477 Wool substitute.
